Reedel, 9. oktoobril avatakse Tartu Kunstimaja suures saalis grupinäitus „Aja serval heliseb valgus“.
Näitusel saavad kokku seitse kunstnikku, et uurida ulmežanrit kaasaegse kunsti seisukohalt. Näitusel ei ole konkreetset kuraatorit, lõpptulemus sünnib kunstnike ühise arutelu ja loomeprotsessi tulemusena. Kunstnike eesmärgiks ei ole illustreerida olemasolevat ulmet ega taastoota tuttavaid tulevikunägemusi, vaid luua teosed, mis oma olemuselt kutsuvad esile uusi mõttemaailmu, ruume ja olukordi.
On Friday, 9 October, the group exhibition “Light Shines at the Edge of Time” will open in the large gallery of the Tartu Art House.
The exhibition will bring together seven artists to explore the genre of science fiction from the perspective of contemporary art. The exhibition will not have a specific curator; the final result will be the product of joint discussion and a creative process between the artists. The artists’ goal is not to illustrate existing science fiction or reproduce familiar visions of the future, but to create works that, by their very nature, evoke new worlds of thought, spaces and situations.
