Reedel, 4. augustil kell 17.00 avatakse Tartu Kunstimaja väikeses saalis Lemme Haldre isikunäitus „Kihistused“. Näituse kuraator on Margus Meinart.
Näitusel olevad maalid on pikaaegsete kihistuste väljendused, mida kunstnik oma igapäeva töös kogeb ning mis uuristavad teed väljapääsu poole. Need on väljapääsu otsivad tundevood, kus rõõm ja kurbus on läbisegi.
Lemme Haldre töötab psühhoterapeudina. Oma töös kohtub ta erinevate inimestega, laste ja täiskasvanutega. Sageli on põhjuseks ärevus, masendus, lootusetus, segamini suhted ja halb kohtlemine. Neid on oluliste inimeste poolt hüljatud või koheldud vägivaldselt. Nad on kogenud kiusu koolis või tühistamist kollektiivis. Mõned lapsed ei tea midagi oma peredest. Nende vanemad ei hooli ja nad peavad seetõttu elama lastekodus.
Tema klientide maailmal on enamasti ühine nimetaja – armastuse ja turvatunde puudumine. Harva sõnastavad nad oma vajaduse konkreetsesse lausevormi. Sageli kritiseerivad nad pigem ennast. Leiavad, et on ise midagi valesti teinud, pole piisavalt pingutanud või head olnud.
„Nende laste ja täiskasvanute igatsused, tunded ja mõtted puudutavad mind. Jäävad vahel pikaks ajaks keerlema, moodustades kujutlusi, pilte ja mõttelõkse. Mõnikord on see justkui karussell, mille pealt on raske maha astuda. Vahel tabab mind suur rõõm. See on siis, kui kõrbemaastikul avanevad peidus olnud sisemised jõuvarud, mis toidavad eluga edasi minekut. Mu rõõmu toidab teadmine, et see inimene tuleb toime,“ selgitab kunstnik.
Lemme Haldre (s 1955) on eesti lastearst, kliiniline psühholoog-psühhoterapeut, kliiniline seksuoloog ja kunstnik. Ta on õppinud Tartu Ülikoolis pediaatriat ning omandanud samas kliinilise psühholoogi kutse. Haldre on töötanud Tartu Ülikooli Lastekliinikus ja Tartu Sanatoorses Koolis, psühhoterapeudina Tartu laste tugikeskuses ja kliinikus Elite ning lektorina Tartu Ülikoolis ja Tervise Arengu Instituudis. Ta on õppinud Konrad Mägi Ateljees Heldur Viirese käe all ning kuulub Tartu Kunstnike Liitu.
Näitus jääb avatuks 3. septembrini.

On Friday, 4 August at 5:00 p.m. Lemme Haldre will open her solo exhibition “Layers” in the small gallery at the Tartu Art House. The curator of the exhibition is Margus Meinart.
The paintings in the exhibition are expressions of long-term emotional layers that the artist experiences in her daily work, which search for expression. These are floods of feelings in search of ways out, mingling joy and sadness.
Lemme Haldre works as a psychotherapist. In her work she meets different children and adults. Often their problems include distress, depression, hopelessness, messed up relationships and abuse. They might have been neglected or abused by loved ones, or teased or rejected by their peers. They may have experienced bullying at school. Some children don’t know anything about their families. Their parents have abandoned them and, as a result, they have to live in an orphanage.
Her clients mostly share a common feature: a lack of love and security. They rarely articulate their needs concretely. They are often self-critical. They feel that they have done something wrong, have not tried hard enough or have not been good enough.
“The cravings of these children and adults, their emotions and dreams are painful to me. Sometimes I can’t shake off their thoughts and sufferings; they go round and round inside my head, and form images, even traps. Sometimes it is like a merry-go-round that I cannot get off. But sometimes I experience great joy. This is when the inner reserves of strength that have been hidden from clients are revealed, providing them fuel to go on with life. My personal joy is fuelled by understanding that a person will make it,” the artist explains.
Lemme Haldre (b. 1955) is an Estonian paediatrician, clinical psychologist-psychotherapist, clinical sexologist and artist. She studied paediatrics at the University of Tartu, where she also qualified as a clinical psychologist. Haldre has worked as a paediatrician at the Children’s Clinic of the Tartu University Hospital and the Tartu Sanatorium School, as a psychotherapist at the Tartu Child Support Centre and Elite Clinic, and as a lecturer at the University of Tartu and the National Institute for Health Development. She studied art at the Konrad Mägi Studio under Heldur Viires and is a member of the Tartu Artists’ Union.
The exhibition will be open until 3 September.
