Reedel, 10. juunil kell 18 avatakse Tartu Kunstimaja väikeses saalis Veiko Klemmeri isikunäitus „Siirdeala”.
Näituse läbivateks teemadeks on grotesk, iroonia ja meeleolu kusagil oleva ja mitteoleva vahel. Mingis mõttes on tegemist vaatlusega, mis saab siis kui praegused ühiskondlikud suundumused oma loogilise lõpuni jõuvad.
Kunstniku sõnul sai näituse idee alguse mõne aasta tagusest soovist inimpsühholoogia arhetüüpe lähemalt uurida. Leida uued kujutamisviisid mõnede stereotüüpide ja meeleolude taaskehastustele, mida ajaloos ikka ja jälle näha on. Täpsemalt suhete mehaanika nende vahel, kes iha, uhkuse, vara, jõu jms tootemite varjus eksisteerivad.
Näitusel on väljas mõned uued ja mõned varem üksikult näidatud tööd. Siis algas 2022 kevadel järgmine ajaloo peatükk ja mõned tööd on omandanud uue konteksti kihi.
Veiko Klemmer (s 1985) on saanud Tartu Ülikoolis nii maalikunsti bakalaureuse kui magistrikraadi. Ta on õpetanud maali nii Ülikoolis kui Kõrgemas Kunstikoolis Pallas. Tema varasemad isikunäitused Tartu Kunstimajas toimusid 2012 ja 2015 aastal. Eelmise aasta lõpus oli Klemmer AkzoNobeli kunstipreemia laureaat.
Näitus on avatud 10. juulini.
On Friday, 10 June at 6 p.m. Veiko Klemmer will open his solo exhibition “Transitory” in the small gallery of Tartu Art House.
A common topic for the exhibition seems to be grotesque, irony and a sentiment somewhere between being and non-being. In some sense it’s an observation of what will happen if we continue the current trends to their logical end.
According to the artist, the idea for the exhibition began some years ago when he wanted to explore and understand human archetypes better. He was trying to find some new depictions of stereotypes and embodiments of different moods, which can be throughout history. In particular, the relationships of those who exist between the shadows of greed, pride, power and other similar totems.
The exhibition consists of some new works and some paintings previously shown separately. However, in spring 2022 a new chapter of history began and some works have obtained a new layer of context.
Veiko Klemmer (b 1985) has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in painting from the University of Tartu. He has taught painting at the University of Tartu and the Pallas University of Applied Sciences. His earlier solo exhibitions at the Tartu Art House took place in 2012 and 2015. At the end of last year, Keller won the AkzoNobel Art Award.
The exhibition is open until 10 July.
